And so there you have it - a picture of man who's gone through the woods and come out second-best. And with a fetching 'stache.
I may not have raised the most amount of dosh (the pissing contest of the fundraising part of this gig was never my bag), but with my rollercoaster of health issues over the month of November, I've been in the rather fortuitous position of being able to have open, honest and stark conversations about men's health with mates, work colleagues, associates and (on a rather bizarre afternoon) a couple of deros down the road. And that's what this Movember Malarky really is all about - raising real awareness amongst us blokes that getting that weird little lump, or that strange feeling in the nads region, or that not-quite-happy feeling in noggin, checked out. It's the difference between being a bloke and being a dickhead.
Oh, and finishing up the month by being delivered a clean bill of health is fucking tops.

Movember is over: Last Animal
Thanks to my best sponsor, Collette! Her request was something with horses. I don't know anyone with horses in the area, so I sort of snuck up to some horse grazing near a park :)
And here is a final picture of the mo. It gets a bit bigger each year.

Where did the month go?
da comrade...
Well before you know it the month ofMovember is nearly over - it seems to have flown past. My mo has been getting very prickly lately and Sweet Thang just veers away whenever I come close to kissing her. However the baby just smiles...
Have been getting a lot of support from peopel at work and have gotten over the $400 mark in donations which is fabulous. About to try the whole last days promotion to try and get over 500 bucks...
Even gave Naut a $10 sympathy donation for his birthday as it just won't do for our gallant Errol Flyn like captain to not raise any funds at all.

Short hair achieved
In the first picture, I was as bald as a budgie. Now, I have achieved the short coat of a whippet.
I did not need a pork treat to pose for this photo. However, I would like a donation!

Booted out of the Amish
For some strange reason I have been booted out of the Amish.
Could it be the growth of my magnificent Mo?
Only two weeks to go so pony up with your donations

The short coat
One November One, I was bald as a budgie. Ten days later, I have achieved the equivalent fur coverage of a short haired whippet. By the the end of the month I hope to emulate a hairier beast.
Where do I donate? Here!

Hair or Stare, just donate!
9 days in and I actually have something to show for it. Merv Hughes isn't exactly running scared, but I can't help but feel that I am ahead of this point last year.
It still looks pretty narrow, so I am tipping I will end up with the Errol once again.
Actually the more I look at that =>>> photo, the more I become concerned about the world weary eyes staring back than the childish state of my Mo. So if you don't want to donate to the Mo, donate to bring back the youthful sparkle to my eyes (or at least to convince me to wear sunglasses next photo).
The All-stars's Mos that I see around work and on this blog are really starting to show the splendour you would expect from gentlemen of this calibre. Bob is running true to form and spanking all in the donations stakes, while sporting a Mo that would make a British prison guard proud!
Al and Ben are showing the benefits facial folicle experience while I am keenly awaiting Bart's next animal installment (I am hoping for something in the poisoneness reptile range). We haven't seen anything from Charles of the West as yet, is he lulling us into a false sense of security????
To the work guys, feel free to post something here and then link it to facebook, twitter, tumbler, myspace (you still use that????), google+, etc. You have all been sent an invite, but feel free to ask if you aren't sure what to do.

Get some man up ya, twerps
So the eminent Guru Bob reckons this is all about fundraising, eh? Well I say pish tosh to that. He's simply obfuscating, deflecting and playing the ole switcheroo to distract us from the fact that he is so lacking in testosteroney goodness that his mo is a mere shadow. Ladies - I present you with the benchmark of manliness, day 6. See it and swoon, fuckers.
I seem to have something in my eye.

get a move on...
I have decided to take part in this year's Movember after letting my upper lip have a rest in 2010. It seems to have worked as I now have a farly good fuzzy growth after only two days on the job...
This year I am posting photos of myself in front of various local landmarks and will see how that works as a marketing tool for garnering donations, which is what it all about really.
Thanks to PNB's generosity I have already pawned my fellow team members on the fundraising front - will be waiting a while for any of them to get above the zero dollars mark I reckon - that is the real competition! From recollection I raised more funds then the entire Magnum P.I. All Stars all on my onw last time we went head-to-head - or is it mo-to-mo??? This time I have joined with the enemy and we are working together to raise funds for the cause...
Gentlemen - are you ready for a race to the $500 mark??

Movember: Animal Edition
I like to have a bit of a theme to my photo's, and this year, the theme is "Animals". As a clean shaven lad, will start with Fang and Bluetooth, the budgies.
Oh hello chin, my ole pal
It's been a few years since I've seen my chin. Must say, since the trim this morning I can't get used to it. The thoughtful beard-stroke is now a gesture of outright wankiness (it was suave beforehand, you see), looking off into the middle distance with that pensive stare now just looks like I'm constipated, and that seriously funny gag of letting the cappuccino froth settle in the top lip bristles sadly falls flat.
The ladies at work are going to shit bricks when I rock up in the morning.

All great journeys begin with a single shave!
And so it begins.
Got off to a late start. Between replacing weatherboards on the house, betting on the Melbourne Cup and counting my winnings, it was 5pm before I actually shaved.
It's a good thing I tend to start slow, pity I tend to finish slow as well!
This should be a great Movember with a team of 10 as of today, thanks to a great response from my workplace. Guys, feel free to post updates here and if I haven't sent you an invite then just ask. Remember the slogan "the best or nothing", I have nothing covered so I am relying on you guys for the best.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All posts accompanied by a photo with an All-stars team member sporting a Hawaiian shirt (Magnum P.I. style) earns double points. Well it would if there were points being awarded.
Ok, time for a beer as I hear it is fantastic Mo fertiliser.
Happy growing!!!

In for a Penny.
OK I'm in for another year.
I'll be going for the Amish look until the Mo grows back again.
Here is the result before the top lip is to be cleared.
Le'ts get some donations for a good cause.

A growing Mo gathers no MOss!
Well things are heating up and the All-stars are growing in number.
So far we have:
Tony - Team Captain
Bart - Seasoned campaigner
Chas - Rookie Dark Horse (well ginger horse really)
Ben - A man with a beard
There are a couple of people who have promised to join that I am expecting action from shortly. If you see GuruBob or Medway then some unsubtle pressure should be sent their way. I think we also need the experienced guidance of Big Bad Al.
Let the sledging begin!!!

All New and Pretty Much the Same 2011 Edition!!!
With a mind to the FACT that you can have too much of a good thing, the All-starts ( the indefatiguable Bart aside) took 2010 as a gap year.
Great news!
We're back in 2011!
Bigger (fatter)!!!!
Hairier (maybe not)!!!
Otherwise pretty much the same!!!!
Some of the team will be returning (hopefully), some new members will be joining (hopefully). Stay tuned for MOre updates and overuse of the exclamation mark!!!
