Day 5

Unlike bloody Albie Mangel, my facial hair is not long enough to grasp. Nor is it uniform in colour; there is the odd grey poking through. No one has commented on it of their own volition. Normally it takes one, sometimes two prompts. Nonetheless I persevere with the dream of resembling Merv Hughes by 30 November.

  1. Bugger Merv Hughes, reckon you've got Breaker Morant covered all ends up. Good fifth day wicket.

Tony - honestly, I hit auto-correct on the picture viwer because it gave a little more contrast - it looks like a 5 o'clock shadow - dash it!

U - Believe it or not, I thought the same thing - I'll be happy if my mo is more profuse than my brows by 30 Nov!

  9. Lerm, if you plan on getting laid, you'll have to do it in uniform. That's the only thing that could make a woman avert her gaze from that thing on your face.

  10. H - I just googled her - not bad at all. I'll be setting my standards lower while wearing the worm

T - I had no idea who she was! I thought she must have been a movie star from the 1930's - back when H was a boy!

Steve - you may very well be right. I will seriously consider this!
